Northern Burlington Junior Greyhounds Athletic Association sponsors football and cheerleading for youth ages 5-15 in the Northern Burlington County (NJ) Regional School District and surrounding communities. The Junior Greyhounds originated in 1997 as a way to provide football and cheerleading opportunities for the youth of the Northern Burlington area. This program serves as a feeder program for the Northern Burlington County Regional Middle and High Schools. In 2000, the program became a part of the South Jersey Independent Football League. That year, the football team had four squads: 90 lb., 105 lb., 120 lb., and unlimited weight. For the 2001 Season, there was an additional squad at the 75 lb. weight class. Also, the 120 lb. squad has been changed to 125 lb. maximum weight. For the 2004 season, a 60 lb. squad was added to the program!
The Jr. Greyhound Cheerleading program consists of 4 squads, grades K-8. The Mini Squad is for grades K-1. Rookie Squad is for grades 2 & 3; the Junior are grades 4 & 5; and the Seniors are grades 6, 7, & 8.
