Baseball and Softball Leagues Announce Registrations

The Northern Burlington area Babe Ruth Baseball and Softball Leagues are announcing that the registration window is now open and registrations will be accepted through Monday February 26, 2007.  The league registration is open to all Northern Burlington Regional communities-Chesterfield, Mansfield, North Hanover and Springfield-as well as Bordentown Township,  Bordentown City and McGuire AFB residents.

For baseball, registrants not younger than 13 years of age on April 30, 2007 and not older than 15 years of age on April 30, 2007 may register to participate in the NB Babe Ruth League.  Registration forms are available for each Northern Burlington Regional community on-line at http://www.nbiaa.net/.  Bordentown and MAFB residents may use the NBIAA form.

The 13-15 NB Babe Ruth baseball league will be comprised of six to eight teams-registrant number dependent-and will feature a 14-game regular season schedule, out of league games and league playoffs.  Participants will also be eligible to try-out for and represent the Northern Burlington Babe Ruth league on post-season 13, 14 and 15-year-old tournament teams that play against other District 7 opponents Maple Shade, Moorestown, Marlton and Mt. Laurel.

For softball (U-14 and U16 as of January 1, 2006), depending on the number of registrants, there will be Northern Burlington regional teams that will play in the Northern Burlington Babe Ruth Softball League.   League playoffs, post-season tournament teams and summer teams will also be available for softball players.

The NBIAA is also announcing that all Northern Burlington communities are now conducting registrations for youth baseball and softball leagues for ages 5 through 12.  Northern Burlington is chartered through Cal Ripken Baseball for boys ages 9-12 (as of April 30, 2007).  Northern Burlington is also chartered through Babe Ruth Softball for girls U10 and U12 (as of January 1, 2007).  Bordentown City and Bordentown Township residents are welcome and encouraged to participate in the Northern Burlington Cal Ripken Baseball and Babe Ruth Softball leagues.
